Prudentia Breaks Through: Maiden Win at Te Rapa

Prudentia won the 1300m BM65 at Te Rapa on Friday, 17 April. Drawn barrier 8 with 56kg, she settled into the race under Masahiro Hashizume and found the line strongly to win by 0.3 lengths. The time of 1:20.580 confirmed the quality of the performance.

The result came at her third start for the stable and followed a deliberate preparation. After the scratching at Pukekohe the previous week due to weather, the Wexford Stables team elected to press on at Te Rapa rather than wait. Starting at $10.60, she outstayed Fleeting Star and Amusement in the closing stages.
